Cortland’s Grace Schnorr named NEWHL Rookie of Week again

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Cortland sophomore forward Grace Schnorr (Camillus, NY) has been selected the Northeast Women's Hockey League's Rookie of the Week again.

The honor is for games contested from Monday, Dec. 31, through Sunday, Jan. 6, and was announced by the NEWHL on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Schnorr scored a pair of goals in Cortland's come-from-behind 3-2 overtime victory at William Smith in non-conference action on Sunday, Jan. 6.

Trailing 2-0, Schnorr netted Cortland's first goal 30 seconds into the third period and tallied the game-tying goal at 13:14 of the third to send the game to overtime where the Red Dragons earned the win 1:23 into the extra period.

Schnorr leads the Red Dragons (4-5-3) with eight points and seven goals on the season.
