    PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team moved up to No. 2 in the USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll and remained ranked at No. 2 in the D3hockey.com Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced Monday by both organizations. The Cardinals received 137 points and two first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and 141 points and six first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll.

The Bears improved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference. The Red Dragons fell to 2-3 and 0-3.

Freshman forward Stephanie Dunlap (Bath, Mich./Meijer U19 AAA) had a goal for the Bears and sophomore goalie Samantha White (Oceanside, Calif./Anaheim Lady Ducks) made 22 saves.

    POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Potsdam women's hockey team (1-0) started off another season with a 4-1 victory over the Saint Michael's College Purple Knights (0-1) at Maxcy Ice Arena on Friday night. Sophomore forward Alexis Clark (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Buffalo Bisons) scored twice for the Bears and junior forward Miranda Kolb (Watertown, N.Y./SUNY Cortland) and freshman forward Stephanie Dunlap (Bath, Mich./Meijer U19 AAA) also scored. Junior goalie Alexa Pfeiffer (Sylvania, Ohio/Little Caesar's) finished with 21 saves in her 14th career victory. The Purple Knights were unable to take advantage of their power plays (0-for-6) and it proved to be essential in the contest.
