    PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team finished as the consensus No. 1 team in both the USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll and the D3hockey.com Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced Monday by both organizations. The Cardinals received 150 points and all 15 first-place votes in both polls.

    MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. – The No. 2/2 Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team will have an opportunity to play for the NCAA Division III national championship tomorrow at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central, as the Cardinals defeated No. 4/5 Adrian College, 4-1, in the NCAA Tournament semifinals at the University of St. Thomas' St. Thomas Academy Ice Arena Friday afternoon.

PAUL, Minn. – Senior goaltender Kassi Abbott (Medford, Mass./Boston Shamrocks Elite), sophomore forward Annie Katonka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Penguins Elite), senior forward Courtney Moriarty (Estero, Fla./Northfield Mount Hermon) and junior defenseman Hannah Kiraly (Glendale, Ariz./Northern Cyclones) of the Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team were named to the 2018-19 CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Women's Division III All-America teams, as announced Thursday at the NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championship banquet on the campus of the University of St. Thomas.

    MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team continues its quest to win its seventh overall NCAA Division III national title on Friday, March 15, at the University of St. Thomas' St. Thomas Academy Ice Arena, as the the Cardinals take on Adrian College in the semifinal round of the NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament at 3 p.m. (CT)/4 p.m. (ET). St. Thomas and Hamline University square off in the other semifinal-round game at 7 p.m., with the two semifinal winners to play for the national championship on Saturday, March 16, at 7 p.m. The third-place game will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday.

    PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The nationally-ranked No. 2/2 and top-seeded Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team won its second Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) title in the two-year history of the league on Saturday afternoon at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena, blanking third-seeded SUNY Cortland, 5-0, in the NEWHL Tournament championship game. It marked the Cardinals' seventh consecutive conference title overall counting the five Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West championships they won in the final years of that conference.

The Cardinals received 131 points and three first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and 137 points and three first-place votes in the D3hockey.com poll.

    POTSDAM, N.Y. – Junior Emily King (Buffalo/Buffalo Regals) recorded two goals and an assist and sophomore goalie Chelsea Allain (Saratoga/Canterbury School) made 33 saves to pace the Cortland women's ice hockey team to a 3-2 win in a NEWHL semi-final game at Potsdam Saturday night. The win improves the Red Dragons to 15-8-3 overall and advances them to the NEWHL Championship game where they will play against nationally-ranked Plattsburgh State. The Bears drop to 9-14-3 with the loss.
